Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers the personal data LuckyMate UK Guide handles when you visit lucky-mate-casino.uk.com or email its editors: why we use it and what you can ask us to do with it. We hold very little. Visitors have no accounts on this site, there are no registration forms or payments, comments are switched off and we send no newsletters.

This site is an independent guide to LuckyMate, the UK casino and sportsbook. We have no part in running LuckyMate’s website, so this policy covers this site and nothing else.

Who is responsible for your data

LuckyMate UK Guide is the controller of the personal data described on this page, which means we decide why and how it is used. Send privacy questions and requests to [email protected].

The personal data we handle

There are just two ways personal data reaches us:

DataWhen we get itWhat we use it forLawful basisHow long we keep it
Server log entries: IP address, browser user agent, time of the requestEach time your browser requests a pageSecurity, spotting misuse, fixing faultsLegitimate interestsFor a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting
Emails to the editors: your address, any name you give, the message and attachmentsWhen you write to usReplying to you and checking correctionsLegitimate interestsNo longer than needed to deal with your message and any follow-up

Server logs

Our server keeps a standard log of the requests it receives. Each entry records details such as your IP address, the user agent string your browser sends (which names the browser and operating system) and the time of the request. These records help us defend the site against attacks and abuse and track down errors. They are not used to profile visitors or to identify you.

Emails to the editors

If you write to us, we receive your email address, any name or signature in the message and whatever you write or attach. That information is used to answer you and to check a reported error against its source. We never need identity documents, card details or passwords. If any arrive by mistake, we delete them.

What we do not collect

With no registration, login, comment form, newsletter or checkout on the site, there are no account details, payment information, gambling history or marketing preferences of yours for us to hold. No analytics or advertising tools run here. Fonts load from our own server, so your IP address is not passed to Google Fonts when a page opens. Your data is never sold, and it is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

Why we are allowed to use it

UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for every use of personal data. For server logs and emails alike we rely on legitimate interests: keeping the site secure and working, and answering the people who contact us. Those interests have been weighed against your privacy. The data is limited, and none of it is used for marketing. You can object to this use at any time; the section on your rights below explains how.

How long we keep it

Personal data is kept no longer than the purpose it was collected for requires. Log entries are deleted once the period needed for security and troubleshooting has passed. After we reply, an email may be kept if a correction you reported has to be checked again later. Anything is held for longer only where the law requires it or a legal claim makes it necessary.

Who we share it with

We pass personal data on only when running the site needs it or the law demands it:

  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server that delivers the site and stores its logs, and the service that hosts the editorial mailbox. They process the data on our behalf and only on our instructions.
  • Courts, police or regulators, if we are legally required to disclose information, or if disclosure is needed to deal with a security incident affecting the site.

Your emails and log data never go to LuckyMate, its operator or any other gambling company. If a provider we use stores data outside the UK, the transfer must be covered by the safeguards that UK data protection law sets for international transfers.

Leaving this site for LuckyMate

Our buttons take you off this site, and the privacy policy of the site you land on then applies. Check that the address bar reads luckymate.co.uk before you enter any details. On LuckyMate’s site, registration, identity checks, deposits and withdrawals fall under the privacy policy of Anakatech Interactive Limited, its operator. None of your LuckyMate account details, documents, balance or betting history comes back to us. Regulators, helplines and other external sites we link to apply their own policies too.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so pages and anything your browser sends to us travel encrypted. Access to the server logs and the editorial mailbox is limited to the people who run this guide. If a breach ever affected your personal data in a way likely to put you at high risk, we would tell you and, where the law requires, report it to the ICO.

Your rights under UK data protection law

UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you these rights over personal data we hold about you:

  • Access: ask for a copy of it.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete it, for example an email you sent us.
  • Restriction: ask us to pause using it while a dispute about it is settled.
  • Objection: object to our use of it based on legitimate interests. We then stop unless we have compelling grounds, such as investigating an attack on the site.

Making a request

Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject line and say which right you want to use. We reply within 3 working days and deal with the request itself within the time limit UK GDPR sets, normally one month. In most cases there is no fee. Because server logs are not linked to names, finding entries about you takes the IP address you used and the approximate date and time of your visit. We may also ask you to confirm that an email address is yours.

Complaining to the ICO

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection. The process is set out on the ICO website.

Cookies

The site stores just one thing on your device: a small essential cookie or browser storage entry that remembers you have closed the cookie notice. Nothing here sets advertising or tracking cookies. Our cookie policy lists what is stored, how long it stays and how to remove it.

Children

Because this guide covers gambling, it is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18 and have emailed us, or you are a parent or guardian who thinks a child has, tell us and we will delete the message.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever the way the site handles personal data changes, for example if a contact form or a new type of cookie is added. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Data we already hold will not be used for a new purpose until this page has been updated.

Contact

For anything about this policy or your data, write to [email protected]. Only LuckyMate’s support team can answer questions about a LuckyMate account, such as documents or withdrawals, because we have no access to player accounts.
