Where Is LuckyMate Available? UK-Only Rules and Lookalike Sites

No. LuckyMate’s casino and sportsbook serve the United Kingdom only. Its User Agreement, last updated on 18 August 2026, describes the service as “intended only for Players who are located on the territory of the United Kingdom”. You must be 18 or over to open an account. Balances are kept in pounds and the site runs in English. LuckyMate has no Australian, New Zealand or Irish edition, and the “Lucky Mate” sites for Australian and New Zealand players belong to other businesses. Existing customers face a different question when they travel: nothing in the terms we have read covers a login from another country, so ask LuckyMate before you leave.

Is LuckyMate available outside UK borders? What the terms say

The User Agreement limits accounts to adults located in the United Kingdom, with the minimum age set at 18 and balances held in pounds sterling. Only one licence stands behind those rules. Anakatech Interactive Limited, the Maltese company that runs LuckyMate, holds Gambling Commission account 48789, which takes in the casino as well as betting on real and virtual events. We searched the Malta Gaming Authority register for Anakatech and got no result, and we found no licence for the operator in any other country. Someone outside the UK therefore has no overseas version of LuckyMate to move to.

Everything turns on the word “located”. Taken literally, the clause looks at where you physically are; your passport and the bank behind your card do not come into it. A British citizen living in Spain falls outside it, and the quoted wording makes no allowance for expatriates. The sections of the terms we went through contain no list of excluded countries. None is needed when one sentence already limits the service to the UK.

Registration adds a check of its own. Your name, address and date of birth are verified electronically once you submit the form, and when that does not confirm who you are, LuckyMate asks for documents, proof of address dated within the last 3 months among them. Our guide to UK registration rules covers the form and the identity check.

Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the islands

The United Kingdom means England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland; Great Britain means only the first three. LuckyMate’s terms use the wider name. The Gambling Commission, however, licenses gambling in Great Britain, which makes account 48789 a Great Britain licence. For what that permission covers and how to read the register entry, see our page about the UKGC licence.

Northern Ireland

As part of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland sits inside LuckyMate’s UK-only wording, and the parts of the terms we have seen set no separate rules for it. The law around it is another matter. Northern Ireland has its own gambling legislation, outside the Great Britain framework run by the Gambling Commission, and guidance from the Advertising Standards Authority recommends taking separate legal advice for Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

For players, the difference shows most in where to get help. GamCare, which operates the National Gambling Helpline covering England and Scotland, says its helpline and one-to-one services do not currently reach Northern Ireland. People there call the Problem Gambling Helpline instead, run by Dunlewey Addiction Services on 08000 886 725 and open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The details are on GamCare’s Northern Ireland support page.

Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man

The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are Crown Dependencies, which govern themselves and sit outside the United Kingdom. LuckyMate’s terms never mention them. Whether an account can be opened or used from there is not stated in the terms, so check with LuckyMate before registering. Put the question to live chat or to [email protected], and ask for the answer by email so you have a copy.

Using your LuckyMate account while travelling

The User Agreement links the service to where players are located, so a holiday or a work trip raises questions that the published terms leave open. As far as we can see, they do not say whether LuckyMate blocks logins from other countries or whether a bet or spin placed abroad stands. The same goes for requesting a withdrawal while you are away. None of this is stated in the terms, so raise it with LuckyMate before you set off.

  • Ask in writing. Send [email protected] your username, the country you are visiting and the dates of the trip, then keep the reply. Phoning is not an option, as LuckyMate has no phone line.
  • Allow for time zones. Live chat is not open round the clock, and LuckyMate does not say which time zone its chat hours follow.
  • Payouts follow the deposit. LuckyMate’s closed-loop rule sends withdrawals back to the payment method you deposited with, which means the card or bank account you already use and not a new one opened abroad.
  • Check the local rules. Online gambling may be restricted in the country you are visiting, and a UK account makes no difference to that.

Moving abroad for good

If you are leaving the UK permanently, deal with the account before you go. Withdraw the balance while you are still in the country the terms cover, then ask support to close it. A balance left behind is exposed in two ways. LuckyMate’s own rating for customer funds is “not protected” in an insolvency, and an account that nobody uses is treated as inactive in the end. Because the User Agreement and the account FAQ disagree on how long that takes, don’t count on either period.

VPNs and location checks

Neither the User Agreement, as far as we have read it, nor the FAQ pages we collected mention VPNs. What LuckyMate does if it detects one is not stated in the terms, so check with LuckyMate. Its published rules do touch on the question in other ways.

  • The test is location. The terms refer to players “located” in the United Kingdom. A VPN changes the network address a website records, while you remain in the same country.
  • Offers are tied to IP addresses. The sports welcome offer allows “one per IP address, device, and household”, and the Welcome Boosted Odds terms extend the list to payment method and residential address. So the IP address is already one of the ways LuckyMate’s promotion rules tell customers apart.
  • Accounts are tied to identity. An operator licensed in Great Britain has to check a customer’s date of birth, name and address before any play. LuckyMate can also ask for documents later, proof of address among them, and for the source of your funds when its checks are triggered.

We do not explain ways round location checks here and do not link to services that offer them. From outside the UK, LuckyMate is closed to you; the “Lucky Mate” sites built for other countries are run by the businesses listed below.

Lucky Mate sites in other countries

Brand searches leave the UK quickly. Among Google’s suggestions are “lucky mate casino australia”, “luckymate login australia” and “lucky mate nz”, and the pages behind them describe a casino priced in Australian dollars, with “pokies” and a Curaçao licence, which rules out LuckyMate. On 2 October 2026 the namesakes we found fell into five groups.

Checked against LuckyMate’s published terms and the Gambling Commission register on 2 October 2026.

We could not establish that every Australian and New Zealand page leads to the same offshore operator, or that the New Zealand app belongs to luckymate.casino. The register does settle the point that matters for UK players, since none of these sites appears under account 48789. Domain records fill in some background: luckymate.casino was first registered on 2 June 2023 and luckymate.co.uk on 23 June 2023, two years before the UK brand opened in late July 2025. lucky-mate.com followed on 6 August 2025, shortly after the launch.

The confusion carries over into UK searches. Offers and complaints written about these sites, no-deposit codes included, appear beside LuckyMate pages, and the offshore domain keeps a Trustpilot page separate from the profile for luckymate.co.uk. LuckyMate has no no-deposit bonus and runs every account in pounds, so a write-up that gives it AUD prices, a no-deposit code or a Curaçao licence is about a different business.

Checking you are on the UK LuckyMate

Start with the address bar, which should read luckymate.co.uk; the Gambling Commission’s domain list also includes luckymatecasino.co.uk under the same account. Then look at the money: balances and prices should be in pounds. Last, the footer should name Anakatech Interactive Limited and Gambling Commission account 48789. If a page misses any of these, it is not LuckyMate, however closely it copies the branding. The register record and the company chain are covered in full in our guide on how to verify the real LuckyMate.

By the same test, the site you are reading is not LuckyMate either. lucky-mate-casino.uk.com uses the brand as part of its domain but is an independent review of LuckyMate. It does not appear on the register and takes no registrations, logins or deposits.

LuckyMate availability FAQ

Can I use my LuckyMate account on holiday abroad?

LuckyMate’s User Agreement describes the service as intended only for players located in the United Kingdom and says nothing about logging in from another country. Before you travel, email LuckyMate with your username and destination and keep the reply.

Is LuckyMate available in Northern Ireland?

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, so the UK-only wording in the terms does not shut it out. LuckyMate’s licence, however, is a Great Britain licence, and Northern Ireland has its own gambling law. The Northern Ireland helpline is open 24 hours on 08000 886 725.

Can I play at LuckyMate from Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man?

It is not stated in LuckyMate’s terms. Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are Crown Dependencies outside the United Kingdom, so ask LuckyMate before you register, using live chat or [email protected].

Is LuckyMate available in Ireland?

No. The Republic of Ireland is a separate state outside the United Kingdom, so the User Agreement does not cover it, and we found no licence held by LuckyMate’s operator beyond Great Britain. On the island of Ireland, the UK-only wording takes in Northern Ireland alone.

Can I use a VPN to access LuckyMate?

VPNs are not mentioned in the terms we have seen, so check with LuckyMate. The terms restrict LuckyMate to people located in the United Kingdom, and a VPN does not change where you are. We do not cover ways round location checks.

Can I play at LuckyMate in Scotland and Wales?

Yes. Scotland and Wales are part of Great Britain, where LuckyMate’s Gambling Commission licence applies, and the User Agreement’s UK-only wording covers them. The helplines differ: the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 serves Scotland, and Wales has its own NHS helpline on 0808 2819 265.
